Artist Portraits

Gustaw Iwinski   Born in Gdańsk, Poland, and based in Denmark for several decades, Gustaw has exhibited widely across the country. His paintings explore the tension between realism and fantasy, where human and animal, feminine and masculine, beauty and the grotesque meet—often with playful irony. Each piece invites interpretation and functions as an open narrative.

Erica Hestu Wahyuni   Born in Yogyakarta, Java (1971), Erica studied at both the Indonesian Institute of the Arts in Yogyakarta and the Surikov Institute in Russia. She has developed a vibrant and detailed visual language, where people, animals, and objects merge into scenes that balance everyday life and dreamlike imagery. Her works are playful, poetic, and rich with stories that invite viewers into a universe where culture and fantasy intertwine.

Adrienn Körösi Hass Jensen   Originally from Hungary and now based in Denmark, Adrienn works in a realistic style with a focus on human presence, gaze, and inner life. She draws inspiration from animals, feminine beauty, and spirituality, often combining natural materials like graphite, charcoal, and gold. Through these raw materials, she seeks to capture both the spark of the moment and the quiet traces of meditation and magic that shape her artistic practice.

Emil Tonne Staal   Artist, composer, poet, performer, and documentarian based in Denmark. Emil’s practice spans painting, sculpture, installation, and performance. His works are often inspired by travel, rituals, and intercultural encounters, exploring themes of nature, spirituality, and human presence. Through his “Cultural Portraits” and other pieces, he translates sensory, emotional, and symbolic experiences into a visual language that resonates across cultures.
